Another Friends of the Library used book sale started last night at the Community Center. This is a bonus book sale, since they normally have two a year (in April in October). They have a surplus of books, which is awesome. Good to know folks are still donating.

I don’t think I’ve taken a nighttime shot of the library since its expansion construction was completed last summer. Plus I bought a new tripod, so I had to try it out on something. This seemed like a good choice.
The fire station on Ida St. is district headquarters for the Stayton Fire District. The district encompasses 107 square miles and has four fire stations. All the stations are volunteer-based — in fact, both of my brothers were volunteers at the Stayton station when they were younger.

Yesterday I attended 35th Annual Christmas Bazaar at Stayton Middle School. I bought some great pumpkin bread, bought a Christmas present or two, and took some pictures. The above mosaic shows some of the items for sale from the various vendors, and a popcorn machine. Because it’s cool.
