The is a sign atop a little coffee drive-thru place on Shaff Rd., next to McDonald’s in the Bi-Mart/Roth’s parking lot. I’ve never had any beverages from there (I’m not a coffee drinker), but I adore their sign. Very retro.

This no trespassing sign is in a small field across from the public high school on Locust St. Obviously, some folks took exception to the sign and put a bit of graffiti on it. I swear it wasn’t me. I even stayed on the sidewalk to take the photo.

This awesome sign sits above the Santiam Depot / Rumours Lounge on 3rd Ave. in downtown Stayton. Note: I’m not sure it’s still called Santiam Depot, despite the sign… but it was for years, so I’m calling it both to be safe.

I’ve posted photos of the neon sign on the Star Cinema movie theater on 3rd Ave., but I adore it, so I’m doing it again. Part of the neon is in need of repair, which isn’t surprising. That sign has been around for many decades, and is in remarkably good shape, considering its age.
Today is not only Valentine’s Day, but also Oregon’s 150th birthday. I tried to combine the two for today’s photo, because I do love Oregon. Yes, I am biased, and no, I don’t care.

The above was yesterday’s front page headline of our local daily newspaper, the Statesman Journal (Salem, Oregon). Regardless of how folks voted, this election truly was historic, and I personally can’t wait to see what happens next. Epic, indeed.
This makes me giggle. Jack Fiske and Gerry Aboud are both running for mayor of Stayton. These two signs, which appear to be in front of the same business, apparently take an either/or approach to the campaign. Vote for this guy! Unless you vote for the other guy! Whatever works!

Cascade Highway, the road which runs between Stayton and Sublimity, is presently in the middle of a two-week shut down where it branches off to Highway 22.
