If You Remember Me
Sunday, November 23rd, 2008Leaves. Colorful autumn leaves. Yes, I’ve posted several photos of autumn leaves already this season, but I can’t help it. They’re just too pretty to ignore.
I took these in a parking lot on 4th Ave.

This path through Neitling Park is a favorite of mine. I’ve been posting seasonal shots of it, showing the various colors of the leaves throughout the year.
I’ve already posted one for autumn, but when I saw the path a few days ago, I knew I had to do it again.
This is a nifty little road I’ve always liked, N. Scenic View Dr., just before it hits E. Santiam St. I don’t know why, but the curve through the trees has always seemed so pretty to me. I took this on Sunday, during a bought of fog.
These nifty trees live on N. Evergreen Ave., near Salem Ditch (I posted a photo of that the other day). They were next to some sort of garden.
Yes. More autumn leaves. I am in an autumn leaves rut. It’s really not my fault they’re absolutely everywhere… taunting me… calling to me… “Celine, come take our picture!”… they have some sort of control over me… must take pictures of leaves, must take pictures of leaves…
Anyway, this was taken on 3rd Ave., next to [...]
Yep, more autumn leaves. I can’t remember where in town I took this photo… could have been anywhere. Huh.
I took this a few days ago from the parking lot of Neitling Park. It’s looking through the trees to the Jordan Bridge at Pioneer Park across the street. I think this looks better large, so please click here to see it in a bigger size. G’wan, it won’t bite.
I spotted these autumn leaves in a puddle next to US Bank on 3rd Ave. the other day. I’m not sure how well it comes across in the photo, but the top one is floating, mostly submerged in the water. The rest of the leaves had already drowned. It was sad.
Today’s photo is of my favorite man-made waterway, otherwise known as the Salem Ditch. I took this from a street bridge on N. Evergreen Ave. I’m glad I caught it before more of the autumn leaves had left the trees for the winter.
These are just a few of the leaves found on the ground all over town at the moment. There are still a lot of a autumn leaves on the trees, but we’ve had a fair bit of rain lately, so they’re finding their way down to the ground pretty rapidly.
This lovely little leaf (possibly a maple) was hanging by a wee bit of spiderweb and looked like it was simply floating in mid-air.
This is the south side of Hospital Hill, aka the hill on 10th Ave. Just beyond the trees on the left is the town hospital. I’ve always liked how the trees make an arch over the road, and it’s especially pretty with the golden color of the autumn leaves.
Oh, and one more thing… all you [...]
It’s time once again to visit my favorite Stayton landmark, the Jordan Bridge at Pioneer Park. It just looked so pretty with the pretty yellow leaves kind of framing it like they were.
Click here for of my photos of the Jordan Bridge.
This apartment building on the corner of 2nd Ave. and High St. was once known as the Jones Hotel. I love the brilliant colors on the trees on either side of the building.
By the way, Happy Halloween to all the ghosts and goblins out there. Stay safe, and eat some sugar-intensive candy for me.
A few weeks ago I posted a photo of some trees next to my favorite power canal off of 4th Ave. The trees in that photo were mostly green, with hints of the Autumn color which was to come.
The photo above is of the same scene as before, but this time the color is entirely [...]
