I had grand plans to go out and take lots of photos yesterday, but real life kind of came along and put a stop to that. Instead, I popped out for a few minutes and ended up taking more flower photos. I can’t help myself.

I’ve been waiting for my orange Asiatic lily plant to bloom all year. And now it has. And there are still buds on it, so it will again. Yay.

Here’s a random rose taken randomly at the edge of a random yard on Ida St. This random yard had a lot of lovely random roses.
Randomly, I’m also looking for some random guest photographers to submit a random Stayton-area photo or thirty.
This is a macro of some water droplets on an Asiatic lily. I went to the far away location of my backyard to take this. I know, you’re very impressed. The water droplets are courtesy of a mist-producing water bottle.

I found these California poppies were growing along the edge of a yard on Ida St. on Friday. Pretty little flowers, they are.
I wait every year for these awesome little St. John’s Wort flowers to bloom in a parking strip on 10th Ave. They have all those tentacle-like parts in their centers… nature is just too cool.
There’s a field on 10th Ave. which has a whole bunch of wild daisies in it at the moment. They made me smile, so I stopped and took a photo. As usual.
I spotted this purple lupine flower on the corner of 6th Ave. and E. Regis St. the other day. They’re rather distinct flowers, with balloon-like parts to them. Very cool.
The weather here has been rather odd (thunder, lighting, & torrential rain are among the highlights), so I haven’t been out taking photos. So, instead, here’s a photo of a rose I took at the beginning of the month. It was taken somewhere in the Westown area of Stayton.
Okay, yes, it’s another flower photo. I was going to go out yesterday and take pictures, but the weather was weird and we had thunderstorms and I was tired and didn’t feel well and I didn’t wanna go. So maybe tomorrow.

I think this is a California poppy. I could be wrong. Dunno. I found it at the edge of a yard in Westtown, on Wyatt Ave.
This tree lives just off of 3rd Ave. (it might be on E. Fir St., but maybe not). There are actually three or four of them in a row, which makes me happy. I hate to think of it being alone. As usual, I have no idea what kind of tree it is.
I took this sunset shot a few nights ago from the corner of Fern Ridge Rd. and 3rd Ave. I can’t resist a good sunset.
There are a couple of big planters in front of City Hall on 3rd Ave., and one is filled with these lovely petunias. Ooh, I think it’s time for some alliteration…
Purple and pink petunias perpetually promise precious prettiness.
