Classic cars on parade

Independence Day parade - Stayton Oregon - 4th of July - holiday

This was taken on 3rd St. in Stayton a few years back, during the annual 4th of July parade. I won't attempt to identify the makes and models of the cars, because I simply have no clue. I do love the colors and the styles, and the obvious pride the cars' owners take in their vehicles.

There are a lot of classic car enthusiasts in the area, and it's pretty common to see one or more driving down the road in a classic car on any given day. Stro's Tire Factory holds cruise-ins and other related activities throughout the year.

I have a serious fetish for 50s American cars,so this is a wonderful post.I go to a festival here in England every July called 'Americana' that features 100s of US cars(and Harleys,Humvees and basically anything else American)

I wonder if that's what that street looked like in the 50s or maybe the 30s. I love the colors and shapes too.

Great photo. I love old American cars, and I can't wait until Amcar Norway (American car club of Norway) holds their annual meet here in Trondheim this summer.
