How now Brown House

The above is called the Brown House, or more precisely, the Historic Charles and Martha Brown House, located on 1st Ave. in Stayton. It's probably the most unique and historic home or building in the area. It has quite the history, including being Stayton's first hospital in the 1930's.
The house, which is next to the town library, is presently being restored by the Santiam Heritage Foundation, and they hope to eventually use it for community purposes, which would be rather nifty. Whatever they end up using it for, I just want to go inside and take pictures.

Hi, it's my first visit here. It seems like, judging from your pictures here, to be a peaceful nice place to live.
Reading your profile about digging to China, here's a site worth checking out. www.digholes.com

I don't blame you for wanting to get inside that house. It looks like it would be beautiful on the inside if restored. I'm enjoying your pictures. Willamette Valley looks like a very nice place to live!
