Welcome to Stayton sign in Stayton Oregon

Earlier this month, I featured a photo of the Welcome to Stayton sign on Fern Ridge Rd. Today, for your viewing pleasure, is the Welcome to Stayton sign on 1st. Ave leading into town from the south.

Welcome to Stayton sign in Stayton OregonThis one featuring a wheel and what is apparently a red barn. To me, the barn looks like it has large red teeth, as you can see from the photo at right (click on it to see a bigger version). A barn with bite -- I like it.

There are other similar welcome signs, lest anyone forget where they are when they're here. They lend a friendly greeting to newcomers, and I think they're pretty nifty.

hi, I just came across your today's photo, and thought that just a few days ago I had the idea of taking a picture of the "Welcome to Katowice" sign! I didn't take the photo after all, cause my hubby was driving too fast :) But mayby some day I will... and post it on my newborn katowicedailyphoto.blogspot.com :)
Anyway, you're welcome to visit my Polish photoblog
regards :)
