Bearing fruit

For this shot, I went to the exotic location of my front yard in Stayton. We've had a tree of an unknown variety in the yard for years, and this year it decided to bear some fruit.
It's a cherry, apparently. I'm about as good at identifying this sort of thing as I am at ID'ing flowers and plants, which is almost not at all.
In other news, have you joined the daily notification mailing list yet? It's a single little email a day, to remind you to see what I've posted each day.
