Fallen log

A fallen log in Wilderness Park in Stayton, Oregon

I haven't been able to go out and take photos over the last few days, so I went into my archives from way back in August to bring you today's picture.

This fallen tree disappearing into the water is just off shore in an offshoot of the Santiam River in Wilderness Park in Stayton. The log was placed there on purpose, to help regulate water flow in the area. There was a rope tied around the base of it to keep it anchored, and it's directly across from a concrete structure which is part of the local water treatment plant.
