America

America - two American flags in Stayton Oregon

Today is Veterans Day here in the United States (and Remembrance Day in Canada... other countries also have variations on or near this day). It's a day to honor those who have served in the military.

Today's photo is of a simple display of patriotism on the front of a house here in Stayton. Thank you to all who have served or are serving. Politics aside, your service is greatly appreciated.

A very nice post for today. One thing you never see in France, except on government buildings, is people hanging the French flad from their house. This is something you americans are well known for...your patriotism.

Beautiful flags for a good message, and I agree with Eric, you don't see that many French flags in France.

Your colourful trees on Voting day were absolutely stupendous!
