Making Seasons Bright

Making Seasons Bright in Stayton Oregon

Every year, Stayton hangs lighted Christmas decorations from various telephone poles on a few of the main streets of town. The photo above is of 2nd Ave., between the phone company and the post office. It always makes me smile to see the decorations every year.

By the way, today is the six month anniversary of this here blog. In honor of that, I want everyone to go eat something chocolate-y, or, whatever tastes really good to you if chocolate isn't your thing. Okay? Good deal. :)

Beautiful shot. The black and white really makes the decorations stand out. The small towns in this area all have unique telephone decorations, and it is interesting to see that other places have those as well.

And as requested, I'm currently enjoying a hot cup of cocoa...it should be your six-month anniversary more often ;)

Hey there, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. 6 months is a great milestone. When you first started out I loved your shots, and you just keep getting better and better. Kudos! I love how you isolated the colors for this B&W shot (is that done with Photoshop?) Nice composition, too.
