Street sweeper

Street sweeper truck in Stayton Oregon

The first major rain brought out the street sweeper truck to make sure the drains on the streets don't clog. You should have seen the look on the driver's face when I started taking pictures of his truck. I'm sure he thought I was insane. I can't really argue the point.

Anyway, I was inspired to rewrite the chorus of Dream Weaver by Gary Wright (for the lyrics, click here). I apologize in advance.
Ooh street sweeper
I believe you can get the streets clean
Ooh street sweeper
I believe you'll pick up the wet leaves
Drive your rig through the messy roads
Maybe down 1st Avenue
Cross the side streets of neighborhoods
Help us to be safe in the rain

Again, I apologize. I don't know what came over me. ;)

Just read about your site in Our Town and since I adore this town I set it as my homepage! Love the street sweeper song. Love the daily pics. Everyday this crazy valley and it's amazing seasons takes my breath away. I'm glad others enjoy it's simple amazingness as much as me! Is that a word? It is now! :)

Thanks, Janean. Glad you liked my poetic artistry. ;)

Jeepgirl, your home page? Cool! It was nice of Our Town to do the article. And, yep, the valley is an amazing place to me, too. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
