A Flock of... Dunno

A Flock of... Dunno - in Stayton Oregon

I heard these birds squawking before they made their appearance overhead... and I still managed to get only one non-blurry photo. I'm not sure what kind of birds they are... seagulls? I just don't know. They didn't stop to chat, so I couldn't ask.

I don't think they're seagulls... some ducks maybe? Don't know either! but you caught a beautiful postcard!

they appear to be flying in somewhat of a "V" pattern, therefore I think they might be geese.
The "V" is somewhat sloppy however, so either they've been drinking, or they're just learning.

I had to lugh at Chris and Deb's comment. i too think they are geese or ducks...seagulls, no. I don't think they know how to be part of flock very well...but I could be wrong.

Did they sound like they were honking? (My first thought was Canadian Geese which just love to winter up in Portland.)
