Lawn Care

I have an appreciation for those who care for cemeteries, like the man in the above photo. I think we tend to take them for granted... and I'm not just saying that because my mother runs (on a volunteer basis) a cemetery in Portland. ;)
This photo was taken back in September at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. The cemetery has several old upright stones, so I bet it's quite the task keeping the lawn mowed with all those obstacles in the way.

How old is that cementary? From XIX century or older?
Cemeteries are because we are not immortal.
I guess.
This is an interesting picture and I would be if he happened to turn around and see you lurking among the tombstones he would have jumped clear off the mower. LOL
Nice photograph.
I always found cemeteries restful and pleasant. Especially the older ones...
Kudos to your Mom!
Thanks for the comments, everyone.
eD, the cemetery was started in the late 1800's. I have a bit of info here.
Abe, that would have been a trip. :)
Isabella, I agree about cemeteries being restful. I've always felt a sense of serenity at Lone Oak.
