Cow & Bird

One of the creatures on this weather vane is living and the other isn't. Can you guess which one? ;)
The weather vane is on top of a very nifty building called the Red Barn, which happens to be red and also a barn. I've tried to take pictures of said very nifty building, but I'm afraid they all suck. But I'll keep trying.
I took this within a few minutes of the European starling photo I posted a few days ago, and I think the little bird on the vane is also a starling.

I am guessing the bird. LOL On the other hand it could be the cow. I have heard that on Halloween here in Ohio, many years ago, farmers went to milk their cows in the barn, as usual, only to find them up in the hay mow. Now that required some delicate planning as the haw mow is about 12 feet up in a barn. A kind of second floor without railings, where hay is kept that is fed to the cows in the winter. Not quite up on the weather vane but nevertheless not where you'd expect to see cows.
I took some rainy-day photographs, yesterday, that are very unusual. You might be interested in seeing them.
