Corner Bar

The Santiam Depot restaurant on 3rd Avenue is housed in a building dating back to 1911. According to the Stayton/Sublimity Chamber of Commerce web site it was a bank (1911), a Stayton Mail (Stayton's weekly newspaper) annex (1914), and a grocery store (1918). I'm not sure when it became the Depot, but it's been around for several decades.
That said, I've never been inside. I should do that someday. Anyway, I love all the neon, which is why I wanted to photograph it. It's too cool.
In other news, thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate this blog's 1st birthday. Y'all rock, and I appreciate it.

Stunning photo. I presume it's a bit under exposed at high f/stop so that sign light comes out so vivid... Absolutely great
I am somewhat suprised that the photo just "pops" when you first log on. It is kind of amazing to me because not every photo will do that and this appears to be all photo.
I also enjoyed your narrative.
I came to thank you for your visits to my blog. I get so many comments some days that I can not get around and respond to everyone. I am taking a break today and trying to get caught up.
Thanks.

Nice Hopper-ish look about it
This very beautiful photography gives me thirst. I want to return in
the bar drinking a beer
I love this shot. Colourful neon in night. Good quality image as well.
