I seem to be in the mood to post random road shots lately. This one is of a hill on Fern Ridge Rd., just after it crosses Highway 22 and clears city limits. This is very exciting stuff, isn’t it? I mean… a road. With stripes and everything. Wow. In other news, is anyone going More >

I went out with the intent of going further down Boedigheimer Rd., which is just outside of Stayton, than I’d been previously. Instead, I made it to the top of the first hill and found it was so windy, I could hardly keep my scooter upright. As you can see in the photo above, it’s More >

I apologize for posting a random photo of a motorcycle, but I haven’t had the opportunity to go out and take photos. I took this one last month in the parking lot of Power Motor Sports between here and Sublimity. Oh, and happy Independence Day to everyone in the United States. Stay safe out there.

Guest photographer Moe sent in today’s photo. His description: saw this traffic speed checker in Sublimity. thought the numbers were peculiar. I agree. That second number is a bit puzzling. Is it new math? Click on the photo to see it a big larger. Thanks as always, Moe, for your contribution.

I thought this view of Westtown Drive (looking south) in the Westtown area of Stayton was pretty when I saw it a few days ago. Still do, in fact, so here’s the picture I took of the view.

I spotted these two Honda motorcycles in the Dairy Queen parking lot the other day, and thought they were spiffy. So I took a picture. Because that’s what I do. For the record, I changed the license plate numbers to protect the privacy of the bike owners.

Yesterday I’d hoped to post a photo of something else, but I wasn’t feeling well yesterday and didn’t get it finished. Instead, I’m posting a photo I took a handful of days ago on Gardner Ave. The trees were pretty. For the record, yes, I stopped on my scooter and took a photo in the More >

I took this on E. Florence St. the other day. There are a fair amount of autumn leaves on the ground right now, so it seems fitting.

I love this old building. I’ve posted photos of it before (and here and here), but this is the first time I’ve done it with autumn-colored trees, so that makes it completely different. In related news, I’ve created a video slideshow of some of my autumn foliage photos. View it below: The leaves around town More >

Autumn has made the town extra pretty as of late, and this section of 3rd Avenue (a.k.a. historic downtown Stayton) is no exception. Granted, it hasn’t come alive with activity (it would take an event of some sort to do that), but the colors are rather lively.

Everything is soooo green and growing. It is hard not to notice the only dull thing in the picture. Your bike rider is in stark contrast to the greens. Interesting. Was it intentional?
Did you know that rape is not unique to the human animal? My post today explains.

Me too, Emily Lin.
Abraham, not intentional, since I didn’t have time to actually frame the shot. I saw the guy ride by, swung my camera around, and hit the shutter.
