Fish

Fish - A wooden carved fish in Stayton Oregon

I spotted this carved fish alongside the road, and it inspired a poem:
A Fish Made Of Wood
By Celine Chamberlin

A fish made of wood
Wouldn't taste very good
Nor would it go down well

A fish made of wood
Doesn't swim as it should
At least, not that I can tell

A fish such as this
Is quite hard to miss
And its carving is quite nice

So I'd be remiss
If I didn't mention this fish
Just don't eat it with some rice
Notice I didn't say it was a good poem.

I thought sombody stole one of my fish carvings. I really did. It looks so much like one that I carved a long time ago. I am guessing I went through a carving phase about 30 or 40 years ago and carved everything I could imagine or see.

Nice photo. Sure fooled me.

The poetry is better than I could write.

Nice carving fish. And I thought the poem is way better than what I wrote in my latest post of my other blog (Choux Pastry Heart).
