I happened past the water tower a few days ago and noticed this light fixture hanging from the tower. I didn’t break it, I swear! The color of the water tower is due to the setting sun casting some pretty colors.
Today’s photo is another view of the water from yesterday’s post, looking in the opposite direction in order to catch the colors of the setting sun and part of a bridge being reflected on the water.
This little shed sits next to the little creek just off of 4th Ave. I don’t know why the shed is there… it’s on private property, so I couldn’t get any closer to investigate.
… Or something like that. Anyway, this was taken looking east out of town past some trees towards some tree covered hills. There are a lot of trees in this photo. There are a lot of trees in and around Stayton. I love trees. Trees make me happy.

Since I seem to be on an emergency services kick, why not highlight that little hunk of… well, whatever it’s made from… better known as a fire hydrant or fireplug?

Continuing my emergency vehicle theme from yesterday, here’s an ambulance from the hospital. It’s one of those vehicles we’re thankful is around when we need them (and those their accompanying workers), but we hope we never have reason to need.
Today’s photos is of the fire trucks that was parked outside the fire department the other day. It’s very pretty. And I have a soft spot for firefighters, since both of my brothers served at this very department when they were younger and firefighters rock in general.
The sky the other afternoon had some nifty clouds, and through part of the clouds the sun was shining through all pretty like. Taking a picture of it at a normal exposure just caught a bright spot of white, so I turned down the exposure down completely to let less light through and took the [...]
Today’s photo is from the completely random files of my brain (and camera). It’s a utility (telephone?) pole with lots of stuff which I’m sure serve very important utility (telephone?) functions. Don’t ask me what those functions may be.

Today’s photo is of a nifty neon sign in the front window of Kiki’s Music on Washington St. There isn’t a lot of neon in Stayton, so I try to photograph what I can.
The thumbnail at right shows the whole sign… click on it to see it larger.
This is the backside of a building with some storefronts of some variety or other. I wasn’t paying attention. As usual.
The backsides of things tend to be more interesting, anyway.

I’m a definite sucker for sunsets. It’s just one of those things. So, in that vain, I bring you a picture of weeds. At sunset. This was taken along Fern Ridge Rd. It might be a blackberry bush, or some other type of berry bush… I’m not sure.
This is a shot of the power sub-station on Fern Ridge Rd., taken at sunset last night. The lines of the sub-station have always intrigued me, and it was happy thing to catch it with such a pretty background.

Today’s photo is just a quiet scene on a side street off of 3rd Ave. It’s another one of those things I’d passed by any number of times and never noticed before. It really pays to just stop and look around once in a while.
