Under The Sky

Down at the east end of Jefferson St. lies a nifty field and some nifty trees, with a nifty hill (or possibly a mountain... I'm not sure) peeking through those nifty trees. Not to mention a nifty sky.
I'm always a sucker for open spaces. They make me feel little less confined. I find myself appreciating them more and more, since there are fewer and fewer of them around each day. This field is right next to a new residential development. I wonder how long it will be before the field and trees give way to houses and streets.

Love it! Open spaces like this one makes me feel free and happy. I discovered this one a couple of weeks ago.

There's something calming about the open field, too, as well as Fredrik's comments and Celine's. There are precious few open spots like that left here in the Northeast, where developers are grabbing every bit of open space, or buying small houses and putting McMansions up on them.
I meant to say the devlopers are knocking down the small houses and putting up McMansions in their places...
outstanding pictures in your blog. I love the sprinkler. You have a fan in Florida now.
A beautiful shot - the sky is so very blue! Makes me long for summer - it's a little grey and grisly and wintry here in Cape Town today. It would be a great pity if that field and those trees had to make way for houses and streets.
