You'll See Me Coming

I spotted this beautiful antique car alongside the road a couple of days ago. I have no idea what it is, but I like it.The thumbnail at right shows the whole car... click on it to see it larger.
If anyone happens to know what it is, I'd really appreciate you leaving a comment. I like to take pictures of cars, etc., but unless there's a thing saying what it is (like at a car show), most of the time I have no idea.

Gorgeous red! Several car enthusiasts on the list, someone will volunteer the info soon, I'm sure.
eThis is an ineresting one. The body looks very reminiscent of pre war, but the radiator and disc wheels are 50's or later. The headlights are something like, but I don't think are, Lucas King of the Road. Ultimately, I almost think it is one of the better kit cars like Marlin For this, things like the windscreen meant to look like a foldflat but isn't, against are details like the rear hinged door.
So.... I'd say a car based on a 50's Singer 4a or MG TF, possibly put together out of bits :-)
I like it too! Your photo is very appealing.
Not sure of the exact year but it is about a 1953 MGTD or MGTF 1500.
Had a similar one once but can't remember all the details ... one of those Sr moments!
Almost forgot .... great picture!
Thanks, all. drpack, I really appreciate the info! And thanks to Ham for trying to help ID the car.
