From The Earth

From The Earth - Graffiti on train cars in Stayton Oregon

A string of train cars were parked on the tracks which run alongside Locust St. yesterday. The cars had graffiti marked with a variety of dates and locations, like the one above. I think it's kinda cool I found this one two years to the day it was created, apparently in or around Minneapolis, Minnesota (visit two Minneapolis daily photo blogs -- Minneapolis Daily Photo and Dusty Lens).

Click here for more of my photos of the train cars.

Super. I'm so glad you captured this so that you could share it with us. I'm especially fond of doodling somewhat like this myself--on paper, though.

What a cool piece of art, and a beautiful photograph as well.
Nice to visit Stayton again....it's been far too long between visits!

The one and only Deuce 7! That guy is famous! If you search for 'deuce 7' on flickr you'll find lots of pictures of his stuff all over the US (some of them taken by me). I never expected him to be spotted in Stayton...

brandtbl: I had no clue! Thank you so much for letting me know. I've just looked at some of the shots on Flickr... Deuce 7 is definitely talented. Very cool to have accidentally caught his work. Thanks again.
