Postal Employees Only

Postal Employees Only - the back door to the post office in Stayton Oregon

Today's photo is of the back door to the post office on 2nd Ave. No reason, really, other than I had to drop off some stuff to mail in a mail drop-off box located near the door, and I had my camera, and, well... you do the math. I think these bins are used to transfer mail to the delivery trucks.

You know, it just occurred to me I could have asked my brother that, since he's a mail carrier. I would call him now, but it's almost midnight and I doubt he'd appreciate it. And he knows were I live. ;)

Actually, those are called "U-carts." The "U" is for "Universal."

They are mostly used for internal purposes. They for moving smaller loads from one area to another.

Some other pieces of equipment are hampers, wire cages, GPCs and BMC "cans."
