I noticed yesterday they’ve installed this mechanical horse toy outside of the Safeway grocery store on 1st Ave. I have no idea how long it’s been there, as I tend to not be all that observant. I was tempted to ride on it, but I figured the folks at Safeway wouldn’t appreciate it being broken.

Guest photographer Hugo sent in today’s lovely photo. His description: The setting sun set this little red wagon glowing in Pioneer Park and, since I had my camera at the ready, I took the shot. The little girl who owns this wagon was off playing with her dad, giggling and having a great time. It’s More >

The awesome Theresa Smith, owner of D-Tail Pet Grooming (view it on Google Maps Street View) on W. Washington St., send me an email yesterday morning with the following: I have a great picture idea for you! At my grooming shop, there is a huge puddle. I have told our friend Moe, that I want More >

In honor of it being Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d post something adorable for today. These stuffed bears were at Postal Connections on Shaff Rd. the other day, and it’s hard to pass up this much cute. So I didn’t try.

I hope everyone is having a great day today, whether you celebrate Christmas or are just enjoying the start of the weekend. Take care, all, and stay safe out there. Meanwhile, I’ll be in mourning because I won’t be able to post anymore Christmas-oriented photos until next December.

Merry Christmas Eve, to all who celebrate the day. I spotted this lighted Christmas decoration along Ida St., and thought it would be fitting to post today.

This is adorable — someone actually put a boat in their front yard as part of their holiday display. Frosty the Snowman has a fishing pole and presents loaded in the boat. I love it. Makes me want to buy a boat so I can copy it. I spotted this just off of 3rd Ave.

It’s the latest in North Pole fashion, don’t ya know. Santa always tries to stay up on all the latest trends. I spotted this on the window of a convenience store on 1st Ave.

These photos are from a lovely little window display at Harold’s Jewelers on 3rd Ave. I want to thank the folks who walked by while I was taking photos for not thinking I was robbing the place. Which would be stupid of me, anyway, since Harold’s is right across the street from the police station. More >
