Opulent Orange
Yes. Another photo of autumn leaves. But it’s been… um… oh, 10 days since I last posted one! I think that shows remarkable restraint on my part. Besides, soon they’ll all be gone, so I have to get in while I can.
This tree lives near the top of the hill on 10th Ave., otherwise known as Hospital Hill, since the hospital sits at the top. But that’s kind of irrelevant, except that the tree is about half a block from the hospital.

Guest photographer John Brandt took today’s photo of a dead tree (or part of a tree) in Wilderness Park he doesn’t expect to survive another winter. I haven’t been through that park in some time. I really need to do it again very soon. Once the temperature cools down a bit, that is.

Stayton is almost completely surrounded by country roads (the exception is the north side where Sublimity is located, not far down the road). There are a lot of scenes like the one above — trees, grass, and clouds. I took this particular shot along Kingston-Jordan Dr., just south of town, over the weekend.
