This Rumours Restaurant & Lounge building always intrigues me… it has lots of lighted signs to look at (click here for more photos I’ve taken of Rumours). I don’t think I’d ever noticed this little sign on the side of the building before, but I liked the contrast with the black of the building and More >

I took this photo of a nifty old Ford Chevy (thanks for the correction, Mel!) truck sitting outside of the Fey Asian Chinese restaurant last month, and completely forgot it existed. I was happy to find it, since I haven’t been out to take photos in almost two weeks, so I’m having to scrounge to More >

I’ve posted photos of Rumours Restaurant & Lounge on 3rd Ave. before, but I was in the area a couple of nights ago, so I’m doing it again. I love the lighted signs on this place.

This white bench sits outside Rumours Lounge on 3rd Ave. I liked the contrast of it against the black wall. I would like it be duly noted I have managed to go almost a week without posting a flower photo. It hasn’t been easy on my part, and I will likely crumble and post one More >

The sun created some nifty shadows in the parking lot at the A&W Restaurant on Washington St. yesterday. The pavement was kind of frosty due to the cold, moist air, which also made for an interesting texture on the ground. Note: I changed the permalink structure on the blog. I don’t think it will break More >

I took this a handful of mornings ago when it was extra cold and frosty outside. This is the entrance to the Lone Oak Cemetery on 3rd Ave. I’ve taken photos of it before, but it’s nifty, so I did it again.

This is the back door to Stayton Elementary School. I took it earlier this month for a “doorway” City Daily Photo theme day post, but ended up going with another photo. This door at the school gets far more traffic than the front, since it’s the door near where the kids get dropped off and More >

I took this photo for the City Daily Photo doorway theme day at the beginning of the month, but ended up using a different one instead. So I’m posting it now. This is the stone stairway at the Holm Building on 2nd Ave. I posted a photo of the whole building back in 2006, but More >

Yesterday’s City Daily Photo theme day was “doorways.” I posted a non-traiditional doorway then, so I thought I’d post a normal doorway today. This is the entrance to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, a catholic church on 6th Ave., which was built in 1951, according to the inscription on the front of the building.

Today is the November 1st City Daily Photo theme day, and “doorways” is the topic. My photo is something of an unconventional take on it. A drunk driver plowed through the Chase Bank on the corner of 1st Ave. and Locust St. a few days ago, and created an impromptu doorway of his own with More >

Yes, the colours are very bright, especially the trim!

I like this very much. The simple composition and unusual, attractive color make the picture very pleasing. It’s good that you set the door a bit off center – makes the photo more interesting.

Nice composition, color and technical processing.
If you had forgot to post today and the world stopped spinning that might not have been bad. That is how Mother Earth periodically gets rid of all the irritating fleas that collect on her surface.
