Up On The Rooftop

I spotted Santa on a roof of a house yesterday off of 4th Ave. Old St. Nick must be getting an early start this year. Or, maybe he was doing a dry run to work out the kinks before Christmas Eve.
Either way, I admire his dedication to what he does. At least he's not laying down on the job like a certain Frosty the Snowman. In fact, he's one stand up dude. Gotta like that.

Yeah... I've seen this guy before. Red coat, white beard... always seems to show up in winter. He is involved in a huge number of brazen residential break-ins near the end of December each year but has never been caught or brought to justice by law enforcement.
Steve, that's the one. I understand folks are rather reluctant to prosecute, since instead of taking their belongings, he leaves behind new items for them. It's a strange MO.
It is an insidious plot on his part if you ask me... leaving "gifts" while casing the place for planning future heists! Sounds like something the Democrats would do. :)
Steve, speaking as a Democrat, I must disagree. We're not much for details, you know. We have ideas, but the follow-through tends to get lost somewhere. :)
Ok, have any of you noticed how SCARY some of these displays are becoming? This Santa looks positively menacing...not the happy-go-lucky guy I remember from my childhood. There's a house in our neighborhood that has a huge terrace that they have put this inflatable Santa on. The problem? The Santa-dude is probably 25 feet tall!! Talk about scary. They have him lit at night and he leaves this ENORMOUS shadow.... (eeeeek!)
