Larwood Bridge

Larwood Bridge In B&W - a covered bridge outside of Scio Oregon in Linn County

Larwood Bridge - a covered bridge outside of Scio Oregon in Linn CountyThe Larwood covered bridge is another covered bridge outside of nearby Scio (see also: the Shimanek Bridge from yesterday's post). Built in 1939, it spans Crabtree Creek, right near where it merges with the Roaring River. There's a small park next to the bridge with picnic benches and BBQ grills. It's a beautiful area.

For more information about the bridge, please visit:

Click here to view a very brief video of the bridge and surrounding area, as shakily taken by me.

Yours is probably one of the best pictures of Larwood Bridge ever taken. It certainly is the best I've ever seen and puts the ones I've seen at other online sources to shame!

High contrast BW processing for this winter scene is the perfect choice. The technical quality of this image is exceptional.

I'm ashamed to point this out, but here is one of my pictures of the bridge:

Steve, thank you for your kind words. I don't think the praise is accurate, but thanks nonetheless. ;) And you shouldn't sell yourself short on your image. I like it very much.
