It was mostly overcast yesterday afternoon, but there was a nifty break in the clouds for a little while. I did my best to capture it, though I’m not sure how well it came through. Subtle clouds and sun rays can be tricky to photograph… at least, it’s tricky for me.

Since we’re nearing the end of warm weather for the year, I’ve been on a flower hunt all over town. I need to get in as many as I can, don’t ya know. This black-eyed susan flower was found across the street from Pioneer Park.

The Safeway grocery store on 1st Ave. had some lovely looking tomatoes on display in front of the building yesterday… couldn’t resist getting a photo. Or two.
I thought about trying to juggle a few, but I doubted the employees and nearby customers would appreciate it if I dropped them and they splattered. Which they would.
Just a shot of 3rd Ave., across from City Hall. I like the “old school” look provided by the decades old buildings… like it’s from another time period.
I’m having a serious case of brain drain, so I can’t remember exactly where I took today’s photo. I’m almost positive this is the back of a building on 3rd Ave., but I don’t have a clue as to which one.

I don’t normally post two flower macros in a row, but I’ve been trying to take as many flower shots as I can before the colder weather sets in and the flowers go away until next year.
This is the center of a sunflower I found across the street from Pioneer Park.
The flower Queen Anne’s Lace grows wild in these parts, and it’s a flower I just love. That’s especially true now that I’ve seen it up extra close via my camera’s macro lens. The flower is actually comprised of several tiny flower… ettes? I don’t know what to call them, but they really are adorable.
I had occasion to be in the lot on the west end of Norpac Cannery the other day (they provided the parking for the car show I attended), so I thought it would be a good chance to take a picture of one of the buildings from behind the fence which surrounds the property. This [...]
I went back out to the pond yesterday off of Cascade Highway (see the photo I posted the other day). As it happened, what appeared to be a field burning on an area farm field made for an interesting backdrop and reflection in the water.
The sun was red on Wednesday night — a beautiful, peaceful looking red. I think it might have been caused by some wildfires in the general area… not sure. Whatever the cause, it was lovely.

The sprinklers were on at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery a few days ago when I passed by. I didn’t do the scene justice with my photo, but it was a lovely sight, with the water flying in the sunlight.
A year ago I posted a few photos of some fall blooming crocus at Lone Oak Cemetery on 3rd Ave. A couple of days ago, I happened by the flowers again, so I thought it might be fitting to post another photo or two.
