A Day For History
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009I spotted these President Barack Obama related headlines in some newspaper vending machines yesterday. The Statesman Journal is our local daily newspaper (out of nearby Salem), and the USA Today is a national daily. Regardless of race, religion, or political beliefs, the inauguration of President Obama was a truly historic occasion for everyone. It stands to affect us on local, national, and probably international levels. We as a country seem to be truly excited by the possibilities before us. That’s pretty dang cool.
As Will.I.Am sang in his song after President Obama was elected, “It’s a new day.” Let’s unite and make that new day better than yesterday.

Celine, that is a tack sharp shot you got there!
It was such an amazing day to take in. I really can’t recall this much unanimous excitement in my lifetime. I think its safe to say this has been a unique experience in our American journey. Time for each of us to find our niche to work on, roll up our sleeves and get to it.
Your shots just keep getting better and better and better. Keep it up!
