Looking Down Is Looking Up
So, I am officially desperate for photos to post. If the rain would just stop for a day or two, I could go out and take photos of… um, well. Something. I think. Is there anything left in this town I haven’t already posted a photo of? Anyway, this photo was actually taken last month, down at a little duck pond off of Fern Ridge Rd.
Calling all photographers (young, old, good, bad, whatever!):
I’d love you dearly if you’d contribute a photo or twenty to this here blog! Anything in or around Stayton (and I define that loosely, believe me, so Salem, Scio, Turner, Mehama, etc., are all good) would be awesome. And the photo doesn’t have to be new. You don’t have to be a pro (goodness knows I’m not), just as long as the photo is yours and it shows something vaguely interesting, in keeping with the theme of this blog. Whatever that is. Guest photographer John Brandt took today’s photo of a dead tree (or part of a tree) in Wilderness Park he doesn’t expect to survive another winter. I haven’t been through that park in some time. I really need to do it again very soon. Once the temperature cools down a bit, that is.

Stayton is almost completely surrounded by country roads (the exception is the north side where Sublimity is located, not far down the road). There are a lot of scenes like the one above — trees, grass, and clouds. I took this particular shot along Kingston-Jordan Dr., just south of town, over the weekend.
