This crow was sitting on the fence surrounding the football field at Regis High School on Regis St. yesterday. The title of this post comes from a movie I’ve never seen. I found a list of quotes from it by accident, but it seemed appropriate. A hundred internets to anyone out there who can name More >

If you were able to look to the left of yesterday’s photo, you would have seen the above. Which is what you’re seeing now, so I guess you can, after all. I went out with the intent of going further down Boedigheimer Rd., which is just outside of Stayton, than I’d been previously. Instead, I made it to the top of the first hill and found it was so windy, I could hardly keep my scooter upright. As you can see in the photo above, it’s More >

Guest photographer Patrick noticed this nice bit of irony last week outside the Santiam Historical Museum. His description: I took this photo last week. I’ve been ill this week, so going out and taking pictures hasn’t been working out. I took this in mid-July at Campbell-Grier Cemetery just outside of town.

Guest photographer John Brandt took today’s photo of a dead tree (or part of a tree) in Wilderness Park he doesn’t expect to survive another winter. I haven’t been through that park in some time. I really need to do it again very soon. Once the temperature cools down a bit, that is.

I took this the other night at Campbell-Grier Cemetery, just outside of Stayton. The silhouette is part of a metal decoration of a girl holding up a flower. That flower looks like a sun in silhouette, which made me think of the song “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden, which led to using part of the More >

Guest photographer Theresa Smith from D-Tail Pet Grooming sent in today’s photo. Her description: This plane flew over our house a few days back and I liked how the sun was shining of the plane and the “steam” from it. I love plane contrails, and she certainly captured these nicely. Thanks, Theresa.
