Happy Halloween!

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Happy Halloween, everyone!
Today is my favorite holiday of the year, and the photos for today’s post were taken in my front yard. I’m not sure how I’m going to swing answering the door over and over with three dogs who are entirely too interested in barking whenever someone comes to the door, but I’ll manage. [...]

Underneath It All

Friday, October 30th, 2009

This gorgeous bright orange/red tree — I think it’s some sort of maple — lives on Dawn Dr. I wanted to take it home and make it my own, but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t fit in my scooter.

Windows & Doors & A Tree & Leaves

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

This building lives on the corner of 3rd Ave. and E. Florence St. This is a side view of… well, read the title. The building isn’t really this bright blue… I played with the saturation and kind of went overboard. But it’s definitely blue.
If I have my buildings straight, I posted a photo of the [...]

Autumn At The Old Garage

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I love this old building. I’ve posted photos of it before (and here and here), but this is the first time I’ve done it with autumn-colored trees, so that makes it completely different.
In related news, I’ve created a video slideshow of some of my autumn foliage photos. View it below:

The leaves around town [...]

Big Yellow

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This gigantic tree lives beside the Bird & Hat Inn on the corner of 3rd Ave. and E. Virginia St. I love it.

Summer Lake

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Guest photographer Aspen Thomas sent in this lovely photo from Summer Lake, which isn’t technically in Stayton, but it is in Oregon, so I say it’s close enough. It’s good to go outside of Stayton now and again, since this town is small.
Summer Lake, for those who don’t know, is southeast of Stayton. In fact, [...]

Surrounded

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

There is a house in there somewhere, I promise. I love this yard, located across the street from Neitling Park, any time of the year, but right now it’s especially gorgeous. My photo can’t begin to do it justice.
Please click on the photo to see it in more detail.

Autumn Camouflage

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Must… appease… autumn gods…
So, here’s another photo of autumn leaves. Betcha you’re totally surprised by that. I know I am. I mean, just because I’ve posted autumn leaves photos for the last handful of days is really no indication of future performance. Yep,
In other (more truthful) news, I realized I had no idea how to [...]

3rd Avenue Comes Alive

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Autumn has made the town extra pretty as of late, and this section of 3rd Avenue (a.k.a. historic downtown Stayton) is no exception.
Granted, it hasn’t come alive with activity (it would take an event of some sort to do that), but the colors are rather lively.

Orange Immersion

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Why, yes, I am posting a photo of autumn leaves. Why, yes, I have done that several times already in the last handful of days. Why, yes, I will likely do it again tomorrow.
I humbly suggest clicking on the image to view it larger, as the details kind of get muddled at the above resolution.

Me & The Gang

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

For today’s photo, I went to the super duper far away location of my front yard. I was actually trying to get a picture of a squirrel, but the little bugger ran away, so it’s autumn leaves again. And it will likely be leaves again tomorrow. Leaves, leaves, leaves, leaves, leaves. Leaves.

Standout

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Yes, we have more autumn leaves today. Soon, all the pretty colorful leaves will be gone and I will be sad, so I’m going to post a bunch while I can. These maple leaves were alongside the road just off of Locust St., though I can’t remember exactly which road that was. Not that it [...]

Fall On Fire

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Another shot of autumn leaves, this time from a tree on Marion St. I don’t have a clue as to what type of tree, but it’s kinda nifty, whatever it is.

Tearing In Two

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

I took this shot a couple of days ago. There wasn’t really a visible sunset because it was so cloudy, but bits of it showed through all the dark blue sky. This is one of those bits.

In The Same Vein

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

More autumn leaves today, this time some colorful maple leaves found somewhere near Pioneer Park, though I can’t remember exactly where.
