DP Theme Day: Contrast
Today is the monthly City Daily Photo theme day, and our theme is “contrast.” I have to confess I didn’t have a clue what to post… I thought literal contrast, conceptual contrast, and in the end I went with a photo I took about a week ago of a hazy sunset due to some wildfires in the area. I thought the sun really stood out against the very orange sky, and also against the silhouettes created by the telephone poles and wires. Contrast.

But that isn’t the moon, it’s the sun. The haze in the air made the sky really dark and the sun appeared even brighter than it normally does. This photo is unaltered except some slight leveling, by the way.
