Down At The Music Shop

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Yesterday, I posted a plea of sorts to help Ken Cartwright get KENC back on the radio airwaves (follow the link to find out how to help!). I had gone to Cartwright’s Music Repair to talk to Ken — since that’s his business and where he was and it would be silly to go somewhere he wasn’t to talk to him since he wouldn’t be there to respond — so I figured I’d take some other shots while I was there.

This is the outside of the repair shop/radio station/concert venue. It’s all three, and I think there’s an apartment on top of it, too. Quite versatile. Ken showed me where they hold concerts (the left side of the building), and it’s very nice. I hope to get to one of those concerts before long.

Tomorrow I’ll post a photo or two or three of some of the small but cool selection of instruments Ken has for sale at the shop.
