Wilco For The Holidays
The Wilco Farmers store on 1st Ave. is dressed up for the holidays. They were the first business or house I saw lit up — I took this on the 12th.
News about KENC Radio:
If you haven’t heard, the FCC shut down KENC Community Radio due to what they say are transmission violations. Oregonlive has an article about it, and you can read what Ken Cartwright, director of the station, wrote about it on the KENC web site. (it’s the entry dated November 19, 2009). The station is still broadcasting via the web site, but in the Stayton area without internet connections can no longer listen to the station.
It’s unfortunate this has happened, and I sincerely hope something can be done to rectify the situation. If anyone out there can help, please let me know and I’ll pass the information on to Ken. Thanks.

Wilco Farmers is an agricultural store, with a lot of area farms for customers. I thought the truck sitting in front of it, piled up with hay bales, was appropriate.
