Duck Duck Goose
Guest photographer Hugo sent in this lovely image of a… well, he’s not sure. His description:
I took this at my favorite park as the sun was setting. I’ve never been able to figure whether she’s a duck…or a goose. She has the characteristics of both. As best as I can figure, she’s a “Guck”, or a “Doose”. I just call her “Girlfriend” and she always come to see what tidbit of food I’ve brought for her when I call to her.
I personally don’t have a clue. Google Images didn’t help… it just showed how many others folks don’t know, either. If anyone out there can enlighten us, that would be spiffy.
This photo was taken at Wirth Lake in nearby Salem. Thanks to Hugo, as always, for his submission.
