This crow was sitting on the fence surrounding the football field at Regis High School on Regis St. yesterday. The title of this post comes from a movie I’ve never seen. I found a list of quotes from it by accident, but it seemed appropriate. A hundred internets to anyone out there who can name More >

(Click here to see my Flickr photoset from the concert!) Last night was the second of two free summer concerts held at Pioneer Park, this time featuring The Oregon Valley Boys, an Oregon-based western swing band. As usual, I took a bunch of photos and posted a good chuck of them to a Flickr photoset, More >

I took this photo one night a week or two ago of a window display at Cartwright’s Music Repair Shop on 3rd Ave. Guitars are beautiful creatures.

One might suspect, judging by today’s photo, that I am out of even vaguely interesting photos to post. One might be right. Instead, I’m posting this photo I took through a fence when I was at the Santiam Senior Center grand opening last week. It looks towards some of the property and equipment owned by More >

When I was at Cartwright’s on Saturday night for a concert, I took advantage of the situation and took more photos of the musical instruments lining some of the walls. I adore this guitar — don’t know if it’s electric, acoustic, or a hybrid — so it’s the one I’m posting. I know, brilliant of More >

Don’t forget to read about how you can help get Stayton’s community radio station KENC back on the air! Click on each More >

I can’t remember if I’ve posted a photo of this gate before. I don’t think so, but this blog has been up for over three years, so I sometimes lose track. It sits near the east end of E. Jefferson St. It’s a gate leading to someone’s yard, from the looks of things. I just More >

Guest photographer Jon Goodman sent in today’s photo. Here’s his description: Cool detail shot of an old bridge at Silver Creek Falls. What’s neat about it, is the use of wood along with the formed concrete. Don’t see that much anymore. It must be redwood, as it’s in much better shape than the crumbling concrete. More >

This barbed wire fence surrounds a farm field on E. Santiam St. I posted a photo of a tree from the same field a few days ago. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all.

I took today’s photo on W. Locust St. looking south across some train tracks into an industrial area of some sort. I have no idea what sort, but I do know I’d love to wander around in there and take pictures. There is a lot of cool stuff behind the fence.
