Natural Symmetry
Back to my favorite power canal today. I had to — the reflection of the clouds and blue sky were too pretty to do anything else. This view is looking towards the old power company building (that brownish thing in the middle of the photo) on Water St. I’ll probably post another photo tomorrow of the water, taken from another direction.

Future Foot Bridge

Guest photographer John Brandt has been documenting the start of foot bridge connecting most of Stayton to the new park along the Santiam River. It’s due to be completed here very soon. Stayton is almost completely surrounded by country roads (the exception is the north side where Sublimity is located, not far down the road). There are a lot of scenes like the one above — trees, grass, and clouds. I took this particular shot along Kingston-Jordan Dr., just south of town, over the weekend.
