When I was at Cartwright’s on Saturday night for a concert, I took advantage of the situation and took more photos of the musical instruments lining some of the walls. I adore this guitar — don’t know if it’s electric, acoustic, or a hybrid — so it’s the one I’m posting. I know, brilliant of me.

It’s a resonator guitar– it’s acoustic, but before they had amplifiers and electric guitars they would mount metal cones inside the body of the guitar that would resonate with the strings and provide some amplification. They tend to have a bright, metallic and very twangy tone. Blues guys tend to like them…

    That’s a nice picture of that one. 8)
