Moss, Magnified
Continuing the moss theme from yesterday, here is a macro (close up) photo of… moss! Yes, you read that right, day two of the moss theme is indeed of moss. Bet you didn’t see that coming!
So, anyway… moss. I’d never really looked too closely at it, despite it being all over the place where I live. Sorry the depth of field in this is so narrow, but that’s the way it goes when one hand holds a macro lens and forgets to use the external flash one brought along, and it probably wouldn’t have helped, anyway, since the lens would have been in the way, so I don’t even know why I brought it up.

Guest photographer John Brandt took today’s photo of a dead tree (or part of a tree) in Wilderness Park he doesn’t expect to survive another winter. I haven’t been through that park in some time. I really need to do it again very soon. Once the temperature cools down a bit, that is.

Stayton is almost completely surrounded by country roads (the exception is the north side where Sublimity is located, not far down the road). There are a lot of scenes like the one above — trees, grass, and clouds. I took this particular shot along Kingston-Jordan Dr., just south of town, over the weekend.
