Guest Photographer Moe sent in today’s photo of a banner promoting a recall effort of local city council member James Loftus.
I wasn’t sure if I should post this, but then it was pointed out to me by someone smarter than me (John Brandt, frequent guest photographer and awesome individual) that this blog should be a record for things happening around town.
Since I know almost nothing about the Loftus situation (and have no opinion on the matter), I will instead point you to John Brandt’s take on the situation, and ask you to read newspaper coverage in the Stayton Mail / Statesman Journal (here’s a link to their search engine, using the keywords “james loftus” — not all the results are relevant, but the first handful are).

This makes me giggle. Jack Fiske and Gerry Aboud are both running for mayor of Stayton.
