That Orange Bridge
I’ve taken pictures of this bridge before, but here it is again. It’s a pedestrian bridge put it last year to create easier access to Riverfront Park. It’s orange because the bridge itself was reclaimed from elsewhere, and the metal on the bridge has been exposed to the elements for many years.

The City (I assume) was working on the waterway which runs under Water St. the other day, and it left water levels low enough to see what we normally can’t. Guest photographer John Brandt has been documenting the start of foot bridge connecting most of Stayton to the new park along the Santiam River. It’s due to be completed here very soon. Actually, it was built for the site, and the finish is designed to weather like that and blend in to the background. That’s a good picture for showing off how it fits into the location…
