Santiam Memorial Hospital New Tower Grand Opening – Part 1
We interrupt our never ending steam of hoar frost photos to bring you entirely different photos of entirely different things. Don’t worry (and I know you were), there will be more frost photos in a couple of days.
Yesterday was the ribbon cutting ceremony and open house of the new tower at the Santiam Memorial Hospital on 10th Ave. I took way too many photos, so I’m spreading things out over two days. Today’s photos are of the ceremony itself — complete with an awesome flash mob — and of the first floor of the tower, which contains the new surgery center.
Click on each photo below to see them larger. I’ve actually captioned all the photos for once. And a special shout out to Dr. Von Borstel, because he is awesome.
I’ll post photos of the second and third floors tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Wonderful coverage, Celine – it’s especially nice to see the tour, as I couldn’t leave my station during that time. Looking forward to checking out the other floors.
And BTW, you’re pretty awesome yourself! It’s been a blast watching you chronicle the goings-on of our hometown over the years. Thanks for doing what you do!
