The Great Divide
Long-time followers of this here site thing might be aware of my love for these two awesome oak trees. They live at the edge of a yard on a side street behind the hospital, and I’ve taken many photos of them in the past.
I noticed a fence company staking out the place the other day, so I wasn’t surprised to see a fence going up when I went by yesterday. I was relieved to see it’s a wrought iron fence, which doesn’t detract from the view that much. I was afraid of a six-foot wooden fence blocking both trees. If they have to put a fence there, this isn’t so bad. Still, I’m going to miss the unadulterated view of the trees.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, Celine, but the tree on the left was cut down. It will be missed…
