Forcing Circles Into Squares

One might suspect, judging by today’s photo, that I am out of even vaguely interesting photos to post. One might be right. Instead, I’m posting this photo I took through a fence when I was at the Santiam Senior Center grand opening last week. It looks towards some of the property and equipment owned by the Stayton Cooperative Telephone Company, I think. Really, I didn’t check. And I don’t know what the orange stuff is, either. I know that’s a chain-link fence in the foreground, so that’s something, isn’t it? ISN’T IT?

Ahem. Sorry. It’s just the weather has been less than friendly lately, so I haven’t been able to go out on my scooter to take photos. If anyone can put in a good word with Mother Nature for me, it would be appreciated.

From the random file comes this photo of a hearse parked outside of Weddle Funeral Home on 3rd Ave. Because it was there. A hearse is an interesting looking vehicle… very distinctive. Practical yet somehow stylish. Still, I’d prefer not to ride in one until much, much later.

Somewhere Down The Road

This gravel road lives along Kingston-Jordan Rd., just barely outside of town. It’s on private property so I couldn’t explore it, but I liked the view of it from the main road.

This music notes gate lives next to Cartwright’s Music on 3rd Ave. I took this last month, but forgot all about it. I think it’s rather awesome.

From the completely random file, here’s a sidewalk covered in moss. You might be asking yourself, “Self, why is she posting a photo of a sidewalk covered in moss? Is she out of decent photos again?” The answer is yes, I am currently out of decent photos. Blame the weather, as it’s been uncooperative lately. Yes, that’s it, it’s all Mother Nature’s fault! Really, it is. I swear.

When I was at Cartwright’s on Saturday night for a concert, I took advantage of the situation and took more photos of the musical instruments lining some of the walls. I adore this guitar — don’t know if it’s electric, acoustic, or a hybrid — so it’s the one I’m posting. I know, brilliant of me.

Okay, so yesterday I kinda lied. I said I wasn’t going to post any Christmas-related photos until next December. I was so wrong.

Today’s photo is a detail macro of a Christmas decoration, but it doesn’t really look like it’s a Christmas decoration, so I figured why the heck not. It’s Christmas as I write this, so I don’t have the chance to go out and do something else.

By the way, as of today I’m trying a slightly larger size for each post’s photos. Let me know if this causes problems for any of you (mostly silent) folks out there.
