There were actually three bald eagles in the field yesterday, but the other two were even further way than this one. I tried walking closer, but they flew away before I could get very far.

The eagle in the photo appears to be standing with a dead bird… it was dinner. The white stuff behind the eagle seems to be feathers.

I thought this view of Westtown Drive (looking south) in the Westtown area of Stayton was pretty when I saw it a few days ago. Still do, in fact, so here’s the picture I took of the view.

(See my Flickr photoset from this event!)

This year’s Santiam Marketplace & Outdoor Show was held yesterday at the Stayton Middle School. I went and took several random photos, and even managed to take photos of actual people this time, so that’s a plus. There were plenty of free food samples (the dutch oven cooking samples were awesome), plenty of prize drawings, booths galore, cats in a stroller, alpacas, popcorn, martial arts demonstrations, and more. I acquired a lot of free pens (my mother collects pens with writing on them), bought a book or two, and went home with a plant (a lovely pink hyacinth) from Fresh To You. ‘Twas fun.

I made a photoset of the photos over on Flickr, complete with photo descriptions, so head on over there and take a gander.

How about some shiny happy yellow daffodils for today? Because that’s what I’m posting. Take it, leave it, whatever works for you. This photo was taken in the exotic location of the Circle K parking lot on E. Washington St.
