Here’s a long exposure of some car head and tail lights from two nights ago. I took this on 3rd Ave., facing the north end of the street. I had to wait a while for enough cars to go by to get some decent light trails. I don’t know why the street lights did that streak thing they did.
Happy day after Christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, and whatever else happens today. Here are the rest of the holiday decoration photos I took a few nights ago around town (here’s part 1). Click on the thumbnails below to see them larger, and I hope everyone has had a great holiday.
I thought this house on Mountain Dr. looked rather pretty a few nights ago, so here’s a picture of this house on Mountain Dr. looking rather pretty.
A call for guest photographers!
This week’s weather is supposed to be pretty bad, which means I likely will be unable to go out and take pictures. So if anyone has any photos of the Stayton area they would like to share, I would love you forever. Please see the Contribute a Photo page for details. If you have any trouble with the form, please email the photo and other details to me at celinechamberlingmailcom. Thank you!
Guest photographer Denny Barnes captured this view of Stayton at night. It’s a view those of us in town don’t get to see, and it’s pretty danged awesome. His description:
This is a shot of Stayton after dark on the same night I shot the comet. Lots of pretty lights with the reflection of them in the clouds. I see this sight every time I go to town after dark and never tire of it.
I wouldn’t get tired of it, either. Thanks, Denny!
Why, yes, I am posting a photo of Christmas lights after Christmas is over. That would be because I have one singular non-Christmas photo I can post, so I’m taking advantage of the near-Christmas vibe for as long as I can. This house happens to be my own.
I hope everyone who celebrated Christmas had a great holiday, and that everyone in general had a great Tuesday.
Merry Christmas Even to those who celebrate the day, and happy Tuesday to everyone everywhere! Unless you are on the other side of the world, where it is probably Christmas already, so… Merry Christmas! And happy Wednesday!
Today we have an intentionally out of focus Christmas tree. It’s not my Christmas tree, though, it’s actually one my neighbor’s had decorated in their yard. But if you want to see my tree, click on the thumbnail at right. It’s actually in focus. Funny, that.
Tomorrow I’ll have another Christmas tree, taken by a guest photographer. Stay tuned.
